Seat Unique Raises $26.5M to Support Expansion and Acquisition Plans

Seat Unique has raised $26.5 million (€23 million /£20 million) in a new funding round led by Nickleby Capital, as the premium live experiences platform looks to expand internationally and continue its acquisition strategy.

The round also included participation from Pentland Ventures, Hearst Ventures, Active Partners and The Players Fund, alongside existing backer Nickleby Capital, which has worked with the company over the past three years.

Seat Unique said the funding will be used to support further acquisitions and international expansion, as well as continued growth in its premium ticketing, hospitality and travel offerings.

The company has already completed acquisitions including P1 Travel and Circuit Hospitality, with the latter marking its first takeover. These deals have expanded Seat Unique’s reach and capabilities within the premium experiences sector.

Nickleby Capital managing partner Saav Shah shared, “Seat Unique has established itself as the clear leader in premium live experiences across Europe. The quality of the team, the strength of the platform and the scale of the commercial opportunity make this one of the most exciting consumer growth businesses we have encountered.”

Seat Unique founder and chief executive Robin Sherry said the funding marks a new stage of growth for the company. “This funding marks an exciting new chapter for Seat Unique. Demand for premium live experiences continues to grow rapidly, and our recent acquisitions have significantly expanded our capabilities and international reach.”

“Nickleby and Saav have been exceptional partners. They understand our business, our market and our ambition, and have consistently supported us with strategic advice as well as capital,” Sherry continued. “Their continued backing allows us to accelerate acquisitions, expand internationally and strengthen our position as Europe’s leading premium live experiences platform.”

Seat Unique is currently on track to generate £175 million in sales this year. It is targeting more than £350 million in annual revenue over the next three years, with longer-term ambitions of building a business valued at over £500 million. The company has also indicated it will continue to explore additional acquisition opportunities as part of that growth plan.
